is owned and operated by Cities Direct Limited. We would like
you to fully understand the Commitment undertaken between us when
you make, and we accept, a booking. We therefore ask you to spend
a few minutes reading our terms and conditions. The Foreign &
Commonwealth Travel Advice Unit may have issued information about
your holiday destination. You are advised to check this information
on BBC2 (Ceefax) on page 470 onwards or on the Internet under
the address http://www.fco.gov.uk.
Method of Payment
www.cityapartmentsdirect.co.uk are pleased to accept the following
methods of payment:
• Credit/Debit Card: Visa, Mastercard,
Switch, Solo, Delta, Electron , Amex
• Cheque: Made payable to Cities Direct
Limited
• Bank Transfer: Bank details available
on request.
We require a booking form and full payment to
secure the apartment. If you are booking more than 21 days in
advance of your stay, we maybe able to accept a deposit to secure
the apartment. Please call us on 01242 536900 for further information.
Full payment, by cleared funds, is required
at least 14 days before your planned stay. If we do not receive
this we reserve the right to cancel your booking, and you will
forfeit the deposit paid to us.
Your Booking
The person who signs the booking form ("the party leader")
or agrees to our terms and conditions (for website bookings) must
be at least 18 and be authorised to make the booking on the basis
of these booking conditions by all persons named on the booking
form. The party leader is responsible for making all payments
due to us. If a booking form is not signed (e.g. direct debit
card booking or website booking), we will forward a further copy
of our booking conditions if requested, and it will be deemed
that these conditions are accepted by all members of your party.
For the purpose of these Booking Conditions, the completed booking
form refers to the time you make a booking with Cities Direct
Ltd. This takes place when you send us a booking form, make a
booking via one of our websites or confirm a booking over the
telephone or by email with a member of staff. A booking is only
made when we take payment, and a binding contract between us comes
into existence when we despatch our confirmation invoice.
Arrivals and Departures
Unless confirmed otherwise our apartments are available from 15:00
hours on the day of arrival until 10:30 hours on the day of departure.
Early check in / late check out cannot be guaranteed unless the
booking is made from the night before arrival / for the night
after departure.
The number of people permitted to occupy each
apartment is limited to the number of beds.
During your stay at the apartment your right
is to occupy the premises for the purpose of a holiday or short-term
temporary stay and not as a permanent resident of the apartment
or house.
Deposit
A deposit of £250 covering breakages and damage will be
required before your stay. The deposit will be refunded at the
end of you stay, following Cities Direct inspection of the apartment.
Cities Direct expects the apartments to be left
in a reasonable state on departure, and if additional cleaning
is required on departure, the cost of cleaning will be charged
as an additional charge. Damages to the apartment and breakages
must be paid for by the party leader.
If you change you booking
If, after our confirmation invoice has been despatched, you wish
to change your booking in any way, we will do our utmost to make
these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for
the changes to be made must be in writing by the party leader.
Where we can make your requested change you will be asked to pay
an administration charge of £40, in addition to any costs
incurred by ourselves and any costs or charges incurred or imposed
by any of our suppliers. Certain travel arrangements cannot be
changed after a reservation has been made and any alteration request
will incur 100% cancellation charges.
If you cancel your booking
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
No refund will be made for non-arrivals.
100% cancellation charges apply if you cancel
your booking 21 days or less before your stay. If you cancel your
booking more than 21 days before your stay, the cancellation charge
is £60 or 15% of your apartment cost (whichever is greatest).
Any refunds provided are done so on the basis that www.cityapartmentsdirect.co.uk
can re-let the apartment for the full duration of the cancelled
booking.
Customer Care
If you have a problem during your stay, please inform our representative
or local agent as well as the service supplier (or the UK based
duty manager on +44 (0) 7816 657 853 if the matter cannot be sorted
out in this way) immediately who will endeavour to put things
right. Complaints are difficult to resolve once you have left
the property.
Insurance and Liability
City Apartments Direct cannot be held responsible in any way for
loss of, or damage to, contents, furniture, fittings or any personal
belongings at the apartment locations. Cities Direct cannot be
held liable for the acts or defaults caused by third parties.
You are advised to ensure your own insurance policies cover loss
or damage to personal property during your stay. If is essential
that guests take out adequate travel and personal insurance.
Many of the apartments advertised on the City
Apartments Direct website are owned and operated by third parties.
Whilst City Apartments Direct endeavours to ensure the highest
standards for third party apartments, it does not warrant that
in booking these apartments on your behalf, that the apartment
is in accordance with local national laws including health and
safety and insurance. You also understand that although a third
party may comply with local national laws, the rights and remedies
under such laws may be different to that of England and Wales.
For all claims other than relating to death
or personal injury which result from the non performance or improper
performance of this contract by us the maximum amount of compensation
payable by us to any person is limited to the total of the money
you have paid divided by the number of persons in your party.
We shall not be responsible for damages or compensation in circumstances
which amount to force majeure.
Restrictions
All our featured apartments currently are non-smoking and do not
allow pets. Clients should refrain from doing anything that may
cause a nuisance or annoyance to occupiers of adjoining or neighbouring
properties.
Early Departures
City Apartments Direct is unable to refund any money if a guest
needs to check out prior to the agreed departure date.
If we change/cancel your booking
Cancellations by us may be necessary in exceptional circumstances
and we reserve the right in our absolute discretion to cancel
your apartment booking. If we have to cancel your reservation,
we will tell you as soon as possible. We will endeavour to offer
you a suitable alternative, should this not be suitable you will
be offered a refund.
Repairs and Services
The owner of the apartment reserves the right of entry into the
accommodation at all reasonable times with or without workmen,
to inspect or repair the accommodation or its contents. Cities
Direct cannot be held responsible for any failure or interruption
of utility services or noise caused as a result of repair works
inside or outside the apartment.
Brochure and Website Accuracy
Please note that the information and prices shown in the brochure
or website may have changed by the time you come to book your
holiday. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of
the brochure and prices at the time of printing, regrettably errors
do occasionally occur. You must therefore ensure you check all
details of your chosen apartment with us or your travel agent
at the time of booking. City Apartments Direct has taken reasonable
care that the content of this website is correct but it is subject
to amendment at any time without notice. All content on this website
is published in good faith but you acknowledge that Cities Apartments
Direct cannot check the accuracy of all information provided by
its suppliers.
Law and Jurisdiction
Your Contract and all matters arising out of it is subject to
English law. We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter
which arises out of or in connection with this contract or your
holiday will be dealt with by the Courts of England and Wales
only. Many of the services which make up your holiday are provided
by independent suppliers. Those suppliers provide these services
in accordance with their own terms and conditions. Some of these
terms and conditions may limit or exclude the suppliers liability
to you, usually in accordance with applicable International Conventions
(see clause 12(4)). Copies of the relevant parts of these terms
and conditions are available on request from ourselves or the
supplier concerned.
Should guests be in breach of any of these
terms and conditions, City Apartments Direct reserve the right
to request that the guest vacate the apartment within 24 hours.
